WE ARE NOW REGISTERING FOR THE 2008-2009 SCHOOL YEAR

FALL 2008 - BEGINNING OF SCHOOL DATES & INFORMATION:

Kindergarten:
Orientation Day - Friday, August 15, 2008 from 10:30a.m to 12 Noon. Student and parents (at least one) should attend.
First Day of Class for Kindergarten - Monday, August 18, 2008 (9:15am - 1:30pm)

Preschool:
Open House for Preschool Classes will be in August 2008. Specific dates to be announced.
First Day of Preschool for 5-day and 2-day Tues/Thurs. classes - Tuesday, September 2, 2008
First Day of Preschool for 3-day Mon/Wed/Fri classes - Wednesday, September 3, 2008

LITTLE CAESAR'S PIZZA KITS & COOKIE DOUGH FUNDRAISER:

Order forms will be sent home March 13 & 14, 2008. Completed orders should be turned in no later then March 26. Orders will be delivered and ready for pick up on April 2, 2008.

STUDENT SPRING PORTRAITS:

Individual and class portraits will be taken Thursday & Friday, March 13 & 14, 2008. The following classes will have their individual and class pictures taken on Thursday (3/13): Kindergarten, Mrs. Cannella, Mrs. Patti, Ms. Christy's Tu/Th 2's, and Mrs. Holiday's Tu/Th 3's. The following classes will take pictures on Friday (3/14):  Ms. Christy's MWF 2's, Mrs. Holiday's MWF 3's, and Mrs. Jennifer's 5-day/3-day class. Pictures will be taken outdoors, weather permitting.

CAP & GOWN PORTRAITS FOR PRE-K AND KINDERGARTEN CLASSES:

Cap & gown pictures will be taken on Friday, March 14, for Mrs. Cannella's, Mrs. Patti's, and Mrs. DeBoer's classes only. Please send your child in a white shirt (with or without collar) on this day.


NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS:

New immunization requirements for children entering childcare facilities and school went into effect July 1, 2007, for the State of Georgia. We have briefly summarized these requirements in our enrollment packets. We encourage parents to visit the Gwinnett County Health Department website to fully educate themselves on the new immunization requirements for their children.


WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO HELP US WITH OUR YEAR-ROUND EASY FUNDRAISERS:

The fundraisers we do at Redeemer School are very important to the quality of our program and help us to keep annual tuition costs at a reasonable amount. The tuition paid essentially provides for the teacher salaries and other basic operating expenses each school year. The fundraisers provide us with additional monies to add new equipment and materials that enhance our curriculum and teachers can use year after year to make classroom learning even more exciting and fun for our students.

We have two year-round fundraisers that are easy, take little effort to help, and are always on-going.

1. Boxtops For Education. We participate in the General Mills “Boxtops For Education” program. We ask families to save these labels from specially marked foods purchased at the supermarket and turn them in at school. Each label is worth ten cents to our school. We encourage families to ask their relatives, friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. to save their labels for us also. Prizes are given during the school year to students turning in the most boxtops. Boxtops are collected year-round. Start saving labels now! Visit the Boxtops4Education website to view complete lists of the products that have the Boxtops Labels on them. 

2. Publix Partner Cards. We also partner with Publix in their "Publix Partners" program where our school receives back in cash a percentage of the purchases you make with their stores. This is a very easy way you can help us earn extra money for our school by just showing a special card we provide you to the cashier at checkout. Look for information in your Welcome Folder that you will receive at Open House to find out more details. If you’d like to begin participating over the summer, just call the school office and we will provide you with what you need to get started. We can even provide you with extra cards that you can give to your relatives, friends, neighbors, and co-workers so they can help too!
